Join Edward Woodford, who has more than 45 years of cooking experience gained traveling the world while serving in the army, and a wealth of knowledge about various cuisines, for a hands-on cooking experience that celebrates the culinary traditions of South Carolina’s coastal Lowcountry. In this immersive class, participants will learn how to prepare a classic Lowcountry Boil, a vibrant one-pot meal featuring fresh shrimp, savory sausage, sweet corn on the cob, and tender potatoes – all simmered together with signature spices. Ed will guide you through the entire process, from prepping the ingredients to mastering the timing and seasoning that give this dish its southern charm. Once cooked, the meal will be drained and served family-style, often spread out on a table for everyone to enjoy together. This class is perfect for anyone who enjoys cooking with others and wants to experience the warm, communal spirit that makes a Lowcountry boil so special. Come ready to get your hands dirty, enjoy great food, and take home the skills to recreate this festive feast for friends and family.

Refund Policy: If BSC cancels a class for any reason you’ll be contacted by phone and receive a full refund. If you must cancel a class, please notify us at least four days in advance for a full refund. Cancellations of less than four days will be given 50% credit toward another class. No credit given without pre-cancellation. However, a prepaid reservation is transferable to another attendee.
