About This Class

Join Edward Woodford, who has more than 45 years of cooking experience gained while serving in the army and traveling the world, for a hands-on cooking experience that celebrates the culinary traditions of Louisiana. Jambalaya is a savory, one-pot Louisiana rice dish that blends African, Spanish, and French culinary influences. It traditionally consists of rice, a protein such as chicken, smoked andouille sausage, or seafood, and a seasoned vegetable base of onions, celery, and bell pepper, all cooked together in a single pot. A staple of Louisiana cuisine, the dish is known for its hearty, spicy profile and is deeply tied to regional gatherings and celebrations. Ed will lead you through the process step by step so that you’ll feel successful making this in your own kitchen!

Complementary wine pairing.
